SOLMS, GERMANY - MAY-18-2009 - The Leica M8 arrives in Germany semi-pre-assembled, as much of the electronics of the main body and the camera back are made in Leica's facility in Portugal. In Solms, technicians insert the CCD which is made specifically for the M8 by Kodak, and then assemble the camera, attaching the front to the back and attaching the top and bottom plates.
